Exercise of the Week: Rotational Medicine Ball Toss

The Rotational Medicine Ball Toss is one of our favorite power exercises that we program.  All of our rotational athletes, as well as our general fitness clients, perform this exercise.

  • Stand perpendicular to  the wall.  
  • Maintain  good tall posture
  • Start with the Medicine Ball at your back hip
  • Explosively rotate your lower half toward the wall, releasing the ball out front.
  • We use Dynamax Med Balls so they do bounce a little.
  • Receive the ball off the wall
  • Repeat for 5-10 repetitions on each side.
Variation:  If you find this exercise too challenging, try using a lighter ball.
