Timeless, Not Trendy

Personal Training and Exercise has changed so dramatically in recent years.  Even locally, in McMinnville, OR, Fad workouts and exercise routines have flooded the market and most people are clueless.  These workouts do not take into account the individuals' basic needs.  The average sedentary person thinks that they can just jump right into a workout routine after being sedentary for years. They are mistaken!  And if they do decide to give it a try, they can't sustain it.  Many drop out after the first couple of weeks, or worse, they get injured.  Many of these workouts are just plain ridiculous. Home workouts or Workouts of the Day that give crazy claims and people don't know any better.  The even bigger kicker is that some of the, so called, fitness professionals don't have any experience in the field.  They went to a weekend certification and all of a sudden they are an expert.

I tell you this because I want you to be safe.  I want you to live a healthy life and have the ability to do all the things that you love to do.  If you get injured in your workout or in your training, that's just plain dumb.  At MVP Performance Training our training is Timeless, Not Trendy.  Our workouts are progressive and safe, but will still push you and challenge you daily.

I surfed as a kid and the pursuit of that perfect wave is how I view fitness and my own workout.  You know that awesome workout feeling that you can't quite replicate?  That's what I'm talking about.   That's MVP.  It's a lifestyle in pursuit of perfection.  We might never find perfection, but we're gonna get pretty good chasing it.

Some simple guidelines to follow:
1.  Get cleared from your Doctor or Physician prior to beginning any exercise routine.
2.  Find a Certified Personal Training that performs a thorough fitness assessment and movement screen.
3.  Have open communication with your trainer and prioritize your goals.  (YES, Set Goals)
4.  Schedule Time to workout.  Everyone says that don't have enough time.  Make Time!  Schedule It!
5.  Find a workout partner.  A workout partner is just plain accountability.

Like I mentioned, MVP is Timeless, Not Trendy.
