A Poor Plan

The problem with most low cost, big box gyms is that once you sign up and walk through the door you're left to fend for yourself.  Machines and treadmills all over the place that you have no idea how to use.  They gave you a "Custom" (so they said)designed program, but you don't remember for the life of you what the exercises are or how to use them.  Small oversight.  They might give you a complimentary  session or two to familiarize yourself with things, but truly how familiar can you get in one or two sessions.  So what do you do?  The least common denominator is to go to the exercise that is the most familiar.  Even though it might be the completely wrong exercise for you.  We all have aspirations to accomplish something.  At the gym, it might be to loos weight, or for our athletes it might be to get faster.

It doesn't matter what you do, you have to have a plan in order to be successful.  Another missing link is accountability.  If you do not have any accountability in place, you're pretty much set up to fail.  Most exercise programs die out in the first few weeks.  You usually start out bu going to the gym with a friend.  You steered away from the personal training packages because they were to pricy.  But three weeks into you new workout routine, your best friend had a job change and can't go workout with you anymore.  You're left all to your own to get it done.  No friend.  No Trainer.  Uh Oh!!!  You didn't plan to fail.  There just wasn't a good plan set up. You were expected to do everything on your own and be successful.  Sorry, that doesn't work for the majority.  If you want to accomplish something you have to have a plan is place.  Proper goals setting is key and accountability is critical.  Most 1 on 1 personal training outfits are going to run you around $50-80/hour.  That's for one session.  Times that by 3 a week or 12 for the month and that is a small fortune.  But what are you willing to sacrifice to accomplish your goal?

At MVP Performance Training, the environment that you train in is really important to us.  Small groups with high energy and a trainer that is there to run you through every workout.  This is our accountability that will ensure you accomplish your goal, but keep you on track in your workout.  The nice thing about the small groups is that we can charge you less per session, but you receive way more in return.  The connection that you have within your workout is awesome.  And instead of going over and hiding on the treadmill, like a hamster on a wheel, you're guided through a full body, kick butt workout.

If we can be of assistance to you and get you out of that unknown territory, please contact us at MVP Performance Training 906 NE 11th Street Suite A McMinnville, OR 97128.
